About the role
- Assist the sales team in managing federal client accounts, responding to inquiries, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Coordinate communication between internal departments, including sales, contracts, operations, finance, and customer service, to ensure timely support for government clients.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain sales documentation, including quotes, proposals, capability statements, product information, and account records.
- Support the preparation of reports related to sales activity, pipeline status, contract opportunities, and customer engagement.
- Conduct market research to identify potential federal contract opportunities, agency buying trends, and target accounts.
- Monitor public sector procurement platforms and databases for relevant solicitations, requests for information, and bid opportunities.
- Maintain accurate data in CRM systems and internal sales trackers.
- Assist with scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting action items for client and internal sales meetings.
- Help coordinate submission materials and administrative requirements for government purchasing opportunities.
- Ensure sales files, communications, and supporting documents are complete, current, and compliant with internal procedures.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team as needed to improve efficiency and client responsiveness.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in sales support, account coordination, administrative support, or customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
