About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work closely with reconciliation teams to research and resolve breaks identified during daily bank and transaction reconciliations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
- Ensure accurate and timely processing
- Manage a queue of reconciliation exceptions identified during daily reconciliations
- Communicate resolution details to reconciliation teams once items are resolved
- Serve as an escalation point for more complex reconciliation issues
- Provide guidance to support timely resolution
- Prioritize workflow to ensure processing standards and client expectations are met
- Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Conduct root cause/trend analysis and work with internal teams to minimize open items
- Create and maintain process documentation and procedures
- Train and guide associates within the team by sharing job knowledge and best practices
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school or equivalent required and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Must have 2+ years experience financial operations, banking, reconciliation, or a related financial services environment
- Experience researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies, exceptions, or operational issues
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and follow through to resolution
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams
- Proven ability to document processes and procedures clearly
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
