About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with reconciliation teams to research and resolve breaks identified during daily bank and transaction reconciliations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate discrepancies and resolve issues
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing
  • Manage a queue of reconciliation exceptions identified during daily reconciliations
  • Communicate resolution details to reconciliation teams once items are resolved
  • Serve as an escalation point for more complex reconciliation issues
  • Provide guidance to support timely resolution
  • Prioritize workflow to ensure processing standards and client expectations are met
  • Identify, develop, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
  • Conduct root cause/trend analysis and work with internal teams to minimize open items
  • Create and maintain process documentation and procedures
  • Train and guide associates within the team by sharing job knowledge and best practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school or equivalent required and Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Must have 2+ years experience financial operations, banking, reconciliation, or a related financial services environment
  • Experience researching and resolving reconciliation discrepancies, exceptions, or operational issues
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and follow through to resolution
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with internal teams
  • Proven ability to document processes and procedures clearly
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
