About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions across public and private Azure environments.
- Utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate, standardise, and manage cloud services.
- Research, evaluate, test, and deploy cloud technologies in line with business and engineering requirements.
- Optimise cloud platforms for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Implement and maintain cloud security controls and best practices to protect systems, applications, and data.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to enable adoption and ownership of cloud technologies and full-stack solutions.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking and routing.
- Expert knowledge of cloud security principles, controls, and best practices across public and private cloud environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes, including container platform design, deployment, management, and optimisation.
- Proven ability to work closely with software engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions.
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD technologies, including GitHub Actions.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog.
- Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Shell, or similar technologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
