About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions across public and private Azure environments.
Utilise Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate, standardise, and manage cloud services.
Research, evaluate, test, and deploy cloud technologies in line with business and engineering requirements.
Optimise cloud platforms for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Implement and maintain cloud security controls and best practices to protect systems, applications, and data.
Collaborate closely with software engineering teams to enable adoption and ownership of cloud technologies and full-stack solutions.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture designs, configurations, standards, and operational procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, including networking and routing.
Expert knowledge of cloud security principles, controls, and best practices across public and private cloud environments.
Experience with Kubernetes, including container platform design, deployment, management, and optimisation.
Proven ability to work closely with software engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing solutions.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, particularly Terraform.
Experience with CI/CD technologies, including GitHub Actions.
Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Datadog.
Scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Shell, or similar technologies.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
