About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • The Project Manager, Asset Services is responsible for the end-to-end management and delivery of operational change, automation, transformation projects across Transfer Agency and Fund Administration within the APAC Asset Services business.
  • This role partners closely with Operations, Technology, Risk, Client Management, and external vendors to ensure initiatives are clearly scoped, governed, delivered on time and within budget, and aligned to SS&C’s operational strategy, regulatory obligations, and client commitments.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects from initiation through to implementation and transition into BAU.
  • Define project scope, objectives, success measures, and delivery approach in alignment with business priorities and platform strategy.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resourcing models, and dependency maps.
  • Actively manage risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies (RAID), escalating as appropriate in line with SS&C governance frameworks.
  • Track progress against milestones and benefits, ensuring delivery remains aligned to approved business cases.
  • Deliver clear, concise project reporting to steering committees, governance forums, and senior stakeholders.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for assigned projects.
  • Build strong working relationships with Operations, Global Technology, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Client Management, and external partners.
  • Facilitate effective decision-making by translating complex information into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring transparency around progress, risks, and trade-offs.
  • Coordinate implementation activities including testing, cutover planning, operational readiness, hypercare, and transition to BAU ownership.
  • Ensure business change impacts are clearly understood and managed, including process, control, and capability impacts.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and support operational resilience and client outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain project governance aligned to SS&C change, risk, and control frameworks.
  • Ensure projects comply with internal policies, audit requirements, and external regulatory obligations (including APRA CPS 230 and ASIC requirements).
  • Prepare governance packs, decision papers, and status updates for project and operational forums.
  • Maintain continuity of critical operations throughout delivery and change activities.
  • Manage delivery elements involving third-party vendors, technology partners, and Transitional Services Agreements (TSAs).
  • Track contractual milestones, deliverables, and dependencies in partnership with Legal, Compliance, Technology, and Operations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience delivering projects within fund services, registry, or investment operations in a regulated financial services environment.
  • Strong end-to-end project management capability across complex operational and technology-enabled initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and managing competing priorities.
  • Solid understanding of operational risk, governance, and regulatory frameworks (APRA/ASIC).
  • Experience supporting automation, platform transitions, operating model change, or large-scale process improvements.
  • Familiarity with registry or fund administration platforms; exposure to SS&C platforms (e.g. HiPort, Trust Architect) is highly regarded.
  • Strong planning, reporting, and communication skills, with attention to detail and delivery discipline.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications; project management certifications (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) viewed favourably.
