About the role
- Lead the design and development of a wide range of marketing materials, including but not only: digital advertisements, social media graphics, website banners, email templates, presentations, brochures, whitepapers, event collateral, and infographics.
- Translate complex financial and technological concepts into clear, engaging, and visually appealing designs that resonate with target audiences.
- Ensure all design outputs adhere strictly to brand guidelines, maintaining consistency in visual identity, tone, and messaging across all touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with marketing managers, content creators, product teams, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, objectives, and target audiences.
- Present design concepts and rationale clearly and persuasively to internal teams and stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively to refine designs.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design software, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance design capabilities and recommend innovative solutions.
- Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback to foster their professional growth and development.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of SS&C's visual brand identity and style guide.
Requirements
- Must have a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work to be considered.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional experience in graphic design, preferably within a corporate or agency environment (2+ years with master's degree, 5+ years with bachelor's degree, 10+ years with high school diploma).
- Experience in B2B financial services and technology industries is a significant plus.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) is essential.
- Advanced skills with presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint, Keynote) and the ability to create visually impactful and brand-aligned presentations.
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with motion graphics or video editing software (e.g., After Effects, Premiere Pro) is a bonus.
