About the role
- Performing risk assessments across operational processes and projects.
- Designing, implementing, and monitoring controls to mitigate operational risks.
- Maintaining and updating the Operations Team risk profile, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements.
- Managing and coordinating incident management, including root cause analysis, rectification, remediation and client engagement.
- Overseeing financial crime management activities, ensuring compliance with AML/CTF obligations.
- Preparing and delivering risk reporting to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting trends and emerging risks.
- Facilitating and attending client meetings relating to Operational risk matters as required.
Requirements
- Experience in operational risk management within superannuation or financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate work across multiple teams and maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
- Knowledge of risk frameworks, incident management processes, and financial crime compliance.
- A commitment to fairness, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
