About the role

  • Oversee day-to-day production support operations, ensuring timely and effective resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Manage service level agreements (SLAs) and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to address, analyse, and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Managing and maintaining ITIL standards including incidents, service requests, problems and vulnerabilities and be the point of contact for escalations.
  • Lead and manage a team of IT support professionals, including (and not limited to) recruitment, coaching, performance management, and career development by fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Monitor and manage the incident and problem management processes to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
  • Ensure that changes to the IT environment are effectively planned, communicated, and executed with minimal impact on production services.
  • Manage, review and approve change requests to ensure they meet the Operational Readiness standards.
  • Support handovers and coordinate with relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

  • IT degree, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years’ experience working in an Application Support role
  • Solid understanding of DevOps practices and methods
  • Working knowledge of SDLC principles and methodologies
  • Experience working with ITIL based processes
  • Understanding of hosting production environments on AWS and Virtual Environments
  • Advanced knowledge of Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery build pipelines
  • Experience working with infrastructure as code
  • A passion for automating manual processes
  • Keen to continuously improve & innovate
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
