About the role

- Elicit, analyse, and refine business requirements with stakeholders and translate requirements into detailed technical specifications.
- Produce: User stories with technical acceptance criteria
- Functional and non-functional requirements (NFRs)
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and build-ready
- Support solution design documentation
- Break down how requirements map to systems, components, and services.
- Act as the translator between non-technical stakeholders and engineers to challenge ambiguity and resolve conflicting requirements.
- Define test scenarios and acceptance criteria; support validation activities to ensure delivered solutions meet business intent and technical specifications.
- Identify and pursue follow-on work and new business opportunities with existing and potential clients
- Provide guidance for more junior consultants, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (2:1) or higher in Computer Science
- 3 years + experience of working as a Technical Business Analyst
- Understanding of system architecture (microservices, APIs, data modelling)
- Familiarity with integration patterns (event-driven, ETL, messaging) and Cloud platforms
- Strong problem-solving and structured thinking
- Ability to break down complex systems into components
- Data analysis and interpretation
- Translate complex technical concepts into business language
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops
- Manage conflicting priorities and viewpoints
- Competence with requirements tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps)
- Understanding of end-to-end delivery lifecycles, DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- A strong work ethic with an ability to be self-directed and be an independent contributor to the team
- Ability to lead teams
