About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform daily machine inspections, including fluids, wear parts, tires, glass, and general machinery condition
- Immediately report equipment issues and required maintenance
- Safely and productively operate assigned heavy machinery
- Adapt to changing traffic, soil, and weather conditions
- Utilize GPS systems and read grade stakes and hubs for grade control and finishing
- Manage materials during excavation, loading, placement, grading, and utility installation
- Travel continuously to project sites across multiple states and remain at assignments for extended periods
- Labor and assist the crew as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years’ experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment, including motor grader, scraper, dozer, or excavator
- 1 year of industry-specific related equipment operation experience
- Must be willing to labor and help the crew
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with employees, clients, contractors, and vendors
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory
- Willingness and flexibility to travel continuously and work at project sites across multiple states
- Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test
