About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a large fleet of earthmoving equipment
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic defects on excavators, loaders, trenchers, forklifts, and other equipment
Follow all safety rules and regulations when performing work assignments
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet equipment
Make mechanical repairs after inspection and breakdown analysis
Record complete repair descriptions on work orders, including equipment model, serial number, and hour-meter reading
Lubricate moving parts and operate repaired equipment to verify conformance to specifications
Maintain the cleanliness and professional presentation of the service truck and personal image
Maintain an acceptable driving record and follow CDL-related rules and regulations
Travel continuously to project sites and remain at assignments for extended periods
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be at least 21 years of age
Technical School Certificate and 2 years of related work experience, or 5 years of related work experience
Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
Demonstrated history of safe, reliable work habits
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy earthmoving equipment
Working knowledge of equipment operations and mechanical functions
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to travel extensively, including overnight
Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory
Ability to perform repetitive lifting, standing, kneeling, sitting, grasping, twisting, and climbing stairs/ladders for long periods
Ability to work evenings and weekends when required
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal background check and drug test
