About the role
- Planning, installation and operation of LAN and WLAN infrastructures — for both data center environments and international clients
- Implementation of new site connections, coordination of network hardware relocations and execution of infrastructure refreshes
- Working in routing & switching, wireless, firewall and WAN environments, including 24/7 troubleshooting
- Ensuring stable network operations and optimizing performance
- Implementing network standards and ensuring compliance with security policies
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation such as topologies, configurations and troubleshooting logs
- Supporting business units as a technical contact at 2nd/3rd level
Requirements
- Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist in System Integration) or a comparable degree
- Several years of experience in LAN, WLAN and WAN
- Knowledge of network security and security protocols
- Experience with vendors such as Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point, Aruba and Meraki
- Experience with network management, monitoring or automation
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CWNP or Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) are advantageous
- Independent, structured and analytical working style
- Fluent communication skills in German and English
