About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Contribute to defining the site's HSE policy and translate objectives in line with the site's strategic roadmap, regulatory context and internal constraints
  • Define HSE indicators to measure daily hygiene, safety and environmental risks and performance
  • Ensure compliance with instructions and lead activities to identify and prevent occupational and environmental risks
  • Lead investigations following accidents, near-misses and hazardous situations, and execute action plans
  • Conduct audits and perform risk analyses aimed at continuous process improvement and risk elimination on the production site
  • Manage matters related to ICPE regulations, waste management and energy management
  • Maintain technological watch and update industrial risk studies and analyses
  • Draft and manage prevention plans and safety protocols
  • Participate in operational meetings and lead the HSE agenda and monitoring indicators
  • Manage PPE (EPI)
  • Develop communication, training and awareness materials for staff
  • Raise awareness and train employees on safety, environmental issues and risk prevention
  • Respond to requests from administrative authorities (DREAL, Labour Inspectorate...)
  • Manage the site's training plans for employees (SST, guide file, ...)
  • Create, update and manage the site's action plan related to the DUERP

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar role within the industrial sector
  • Experience in the medical device sector or in a high-quality-demand industry (machining or machine tools) is a strong advantage
  • Solid knowledge of legal health and safety regulations is essential
  • Knowledge of regulations for classified installations such as ICPE
  • Excellent communication and pedagogical skills to raise employee awareness of safety and to work closely with managers (ongoing cooperation and transparency on work progress, ...)
  • Be agile, adapt to change, uncertainty and complexity
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical mindset to structure working methods and intervention plans
  • Fluency in French, both written and spoken, is mandatory
  • Written and spoken English is a plus
  • Proficiency in Power BI and Microsoft 365 is a plus.
