About the role
- Support the Data team in transforming Specsavers into a data-driven business
- Deliver high quality data products
- Accelerate robust decision making
- Drive consistency and enable self-service for the business
- Reporting into the Lead Data Engineer
- Analyze technical capability for ingesting, managing and exploiting data
Requirements
- Strong technical ability and understanding of how databases work
- Use of data development software (ETL packages)
- Programming languages (SQL, Python and Pyspark)
- Hands on experience with: Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks (inc. SQL and Python), Azure SQL Server, Azure DevOps/Git
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm for learning and sharing knowledge
- Ability to invent and innovate creative solutions
