About the role

  • Collaborate with and manage external partners to create engaging and high-quality gaming content for a global audience.
  • Ensure that all games meet the highest quality standards and align with Wooster Games’ brand and vision
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of games.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact game development and launch.
  • Oversee the testing and QA process to ensure a smooth and bug-free launch.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management on project status and progress.
  • Manage co-development and external contractor processes, including contracts, invoices, and deliverables.
  • Help templatize and refine operational workflows to streamline game production activities.
  • Drive and support the implementation of process improvements and documentation standards across game production.
  • Leverage and champion AI tool usage and optimization in production operations and processes.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of non-traditional, innovative, or experimental game concepts, applying your experience with new play styles or unique development challenges.
  • Represent Wooster Games at industry events and conferences.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to drive creativity and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for game production.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and developments to inform game production strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience owning or managing key development areas (e.g., character pipelines, cinematics, progression features, art asset delivery, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in video game production or development, with at least one shipped title as a key contributor or feature owner (e.g., responsible for a major system, pipeline, or content area)
  • Comfortable working directly with founders/executives and making recommendations with incomplete information.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop comprehensive schedules, monitor task progress and deliverables, and achieve timely completion of project objectives.
  • Proven experience in organizing activities and providing oversight to ensure project adherence and meet deadlines.
  • Deep familiarity with games, youth culture, online communities, and social/UGC ecosystems.
  • Ability to travel both nationally and internationally (US/Europe/Asia)
