About the role

  • Responsible for the maintenance processes and system projects in the artificial intelligence area, including documentation, development of AI applications, integration of AI into existing systems, development of AI infrastructure, data analysis and insight discovery, ongoing maintenance and support, training and enablement, development projects, evolutionary maintenance, adaptive maintenance, data migration, corrective maintenance, special investigations and support.
  • Work on product development, focusing on user metrics, experiment design and identifying improvements; understand user behavior, test features and use predictive models to forecast product success.
  • Understand usage patterns, design A/B tests and identify potential areas for product improvement.
  • Translate business problems into AI solutions applicable to the product, defining technical approaches, metrics and supporting the team in prioritization and the roadmap.
  • Collect, process, structure and validate data to ensure the quality and availability required for model development.
  • Build, train, evaluate and document AI/ML models, ensuring performance, robustness and alignment with product use.
  • Implement and develop services and APIs that deploy AI models to production, ensuring security, performance and good integration with the product.
  • Develop and integrate AI microservices into the product ecosystem, ensuring scalability, resilience and compatibility with the existing architecture.
  • Create and maintain automated pipelines for versioning, training, validation and continuous deployment of AI models.
  • Monitor models in production, detect degradation, investigate incidents and ensure stable operation with fallback mechanisms.
  • Conduct experiments and continuous tuning to improve model impact and enhance the user experience.
  • Containerize and orchestrate AI services in the cloud, ensuring efficient, scalable environments and cost best practices.
  • Collaborate in agile routines, perform code reviews and produce clear technical documentation that supports the evolution of AI services.

Requirements

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related IT fields, or a postgraduate degree (specialization, master's or doctorate) with an emphasis on data analysis, with a minimum of 360 hours, in a course recognized by MEC (Brazilian Ministry of Education).
  • Desired experience: 3 years in IT roles involving development, system maintenance, data analysis, data science, analytics or related areas.
  • Experience in projects applying AI (Machine Learning, Deep Learning and/or Generative AI).
  • Proven practical experience in data analysis, statistical modeling and development of machine learning models, including LLMs, preferably in a corporate or industrial environment.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and with popular data science and machine learning libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, Keras, PyLearn2, among others.
  • Proven experience in backend development with Python.
  • Practical experience in developing RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask.
