About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Underground Utility Detection: Use company-provided locating equipment to locate and mark underground utilities (gas, electric, communications, etc.)
Mapping & Documentation: Accurately document located utilities and job details using required systems and tools
Communication & Coordination: Partner with construction crews, project managers, and other stakeholders to confirm scope, markings, and potential hazards
Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe work environment
Problem Solving: Identify and respond to field challenges quickly, prioritizing safe and accurate outcomes
Mobile/Route Work: Travel between assigned job sites throughout the day and work outdoors in varying conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED
Valid, unexpired Driver’s License
1+ year of utility locating and/or damage prevention experience
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adapt to different job sites
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physically able to walk, stand, bend, and lift as needed in outdoor field environments
