About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Survey natural gas pipelines
Travel to various locations driving the Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) vehicle
Drive nightly typically 8 hours per day working 3rd shift (sundown - early AM)
Walk 5 or more miles per day to accurately detect and classify natural gas leaks
Work outdoors in all weather conditions and environments, including residential and commercial settings
Communicate effectively with customers in a courteous manner

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be able to successfully pass all Operator Qualification training, and testing pertaining to meter work/meter reading
Flexible to travel up to 75% of the time including occasional weekends may be required
Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology as needed
Ability to drive-in all-weather conditions
Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn in a technical environment
