About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Survey natural gas pipelines
- Travel to various locations driving the Advanced Mobile Leak Detection (AMLD) vehicle
- Drive nightly typically 8 hours per day working 3rd shift (sundown - early AM)
- Walk 5 or more miles per day to accurately detect and classify natural gas leaks
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions and environments, including residential and commercial settings
- Communicate effectively with customers in a courteous manner
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must be able to successfully pass all Operator Qualification training, and testing pertaining to meter work/meter reading
- Flexible to travel up to 75% of the time including occasional weekends may be required
- Mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot technology as needed
- Ability to drive-in all-weather conditions
- Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn in a technical environment
