About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contribute to the internal platform, tooling and automation used by development teams to build, deploy and operate applications
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code in AWS CDK
- Extend CI/CD pipelines, including migration from CircleCI to GitHub Actions
- Support runtime infrastructure across Lambda, ECS and EKS and help migrate workloads to EKS
- Operate and support data and streaming infrastructure including Redshift, RDS, Kafka, Flink and Redis/Valkey
- Help development teams diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related incidents
- Improve observability, monitoring and alerting in Datadog
- Document platform capabilities and help developers adopt them
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong understanding of AWS and core cloud infrastructure concepts, including compute, networking, storage and IAM
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code such as AWS CDK, Terraform or CloudFormation
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based workloads
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and the software delivery lifecycle
- Comfort with at least one programming or scripting language, such as TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, Python or Bash
- Comfort working with agent-based development tools such as Claude Code or comparable AI coding agents
- Willingness to participate in incident response
- Clear communication and pragmatic problem-solving
- Nice to have: experience building or operating Kubernetes/EKS platforms
- Nice to have: experience with observability tooling, particularly Datadog
- Nice to have: familiarity with Redshift, RDS, Kafka or Flink
- Nice to have: understanding of cloud security and compliance best practices
