About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide proactive business development support and marketing advice to the Workplace practice group.
  • Support delivery of timely, high-quality business development initiatives aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Assist with client relationship management activities for key clients.
  • Coordinate and project manage practice group bids, tenders, and quotes.
  • Lead bid kick-off meetings, draft content, conduct tender debriefs, and ensure compliance with bid processes.
  • Capture and maintain information for bids, capability statements, CVs, website content, and legal directory submissions.
  • Work with the Senior Business Development Manager to deliver marketing collateral, publications, events, and sponsorships.
  • Collaborate with the wider Business Development, Marketing, Events and Communications team and support broader projects and initiatives.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Prior business development experience in a law firm or professional services is essential.
  • Genuine interest in Workplace law, including employment and work health and safety, and industry trends.
  • Direct experience in Workplace law is desirable but not essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience delivering strong written tender and capability documentation.
  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline is highly regarded.
  • Successful applicants must undergo pre-employment and, in some circumstances, ongoing criminal history and other background checks.
