Senior Project Manager
Southern WaterSenior Project Manager leading multiple wastewater capital projects at Southern Water. Overseeing teams and ensuring timely delivery while managing stakeholder relationships and compliance standards.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Leading the delivery of multiple projects and sub-programmes within the wastewater capital portfolio
- Managing and supporting a Capital Delivery team, including four direct reports
- Driving programme performance, ensuring projects are delivered to time, cost and quality targets
- Working closely with Strategic Delivery Partners to oversee contractor performance and delivery
- Building strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Managing financial forecasting, risk, and performance reporting across your programme
- Driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with health, safety and quality standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or utilities programmes, ideally within wastewater
- Proven leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams and delivery partners
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at a senior level
- Experience managing project performance, including risk, budgets and forecasting
- In-depth understanding of health & safety and quality requirements in project delivery
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in Science, Engineering or Management
- Chartered status (or working towards)
- Professional certifications such as APM Project Professional Qualification or Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner
