Regional Liaison Engineer
Southern WaterRegional Liaison Engineer connecting wastewater treatment operations with capital delivery for major infrastructure projects. Championing operational requirements and ensuring designs meet strategic goals.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Champion operational requirements from concept design through to commissioning and handover.
- Review and influence engineering designs to ensure they are operable, maintainable, and cost-effective.
- Provide expert input during detailed design and commissioning phases.
- Ensure safety-critical processes such as Safe Control of Operations (SCO) are planned and compliant.
- Collaborate with site teams to support mobilisation, construction, and commissioning activities.
- Facilitate smooth project handovers, ensuring operational teams are fully prepared and confident.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong technical understanding of wastewater treatment processes
- Proven experience in operational or project delivery roles within the water industry
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Practical experience with commissioning and operational handover
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards accreditation (desirable)
