About the role

  • Focus on researching, writing and developing resources for preventing and responding to extremist harm by working alongside our Intelligence Project’s Prevention & Partnerships team.
  • Assist in developing research and primary and secondary prevention resources for communities.
  • Monitor news sources and secondary reporting for relevant events.
  • Identify useful resources, analysis, and information of relevance for the Intelligence Project.
  • Collaborate with other members of the Intelligence Project team and colleagues across the Center to help advance mutual goals and outcomes related to preventing and responding to hate, extremism and youth-based radicalization.
  • Uphold our JEDI principles by seeking diverse collaborators and partners that can deliver genuine, authentic and impactful work while ensuring their contributions are directed towards the shared mission, vision and values of the Center and department’s goals.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university, or a graduate program in education, sociology, psychology, counseling, public health, women’s studies or any related fields;
  • Demonstrated research capabilities; and
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
Benefits
  • The Center pays $17.95 per hour for a minimum of 15 hours per week for 18 weeks. There may be opportunity for supervisor approved overtime.
