Environmental Field Technician

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide environmental expertise to support compliance, risk management and operational planning across GEMCO
- Design and conduct environmental monitoring programs
- Conduct sample preparation and dispatch
- Maintain monitoring equipment
- Environmental and spatial data management
- Prepare environmental reports and compliance documentation
- Provide environmental advice to operational and planning teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience delivering environmental monitoring programs in operational settings within mining or other heavy industry
- Ability to interpret environmental regulations, approvals and compliance requirements
- Experience undertaking environmental field monitoring in remote and challenging conditions
- Capability to analyse environmental data and prepare technical reports
- Proficiency in ArcGIS
- Applying strong QA/QC practices for sampling
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related disciplines
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (manual or willing to obtain)
