About the role
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure in Azure and GCP.
- Lead migrations, hybrid solutions, and cost optimization initiatives.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi).
- Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Cloud Build).
- Automate provisioning, scaling, and configuration management.
- Reduce manual work with scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Implement centralized monitoring and alerting (Azure Monitor, Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana).
- Define and monitor SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for reliability.
- Lead incident response and postmortems.
- Apply cloud security best practices (IAM, secrets, network security, vulnerability scanning).
- Partner with compliance teams on SOC2 requirements.
- Integrate “shift-left” security into infrastructure and pipelines.
- Partner with development, QA, and product teams.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and foster knowledge-sharing.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices for continuous improvement.
Requirements
- 5+ years in DevOps, Site Reliability, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Expert knowledge of Azure (App Services, AKS, Functions, Azure DevOps).
- Strong experience with GCP (GKE, Cloud Run, IAM, networking).
- Proficiency in IaC (Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi).
- Solid containerization/orchestration skills (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
- CI/CD expertise (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Pipelines).
- Excellent scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Strong understanding of networking, DNS, load balancers, and cloud security.
