About the role

  • Monitor Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) and apply updates, patches and performance tuning;
  • Resolve system-related incidents and service requests;
  • Create Bash or Python scripts to automate maintenance, backup and monitoring tasks;
  • Configure and test backup and disaster recovery strategies for Linux and Windows servers;
  • Implement configuration management tasks using tools such as Ansible;
  • Configure and manage server monitoring using VMware and performance tools;
  • Manage resources in Azure, ensuring integration with Linux and Windows servers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field;
  • 5+ years of proven experience administering Linux systems (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu or similar);
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting, incident management and handling service requests;
  • Solid knowledge of system updates, patch management, monitoring and performance tuning;
  • Experience in server maintenance, backup strategies and disaster recovery;
  • Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible);
  • Good scripting skills (Bash, Python or similar);
  • Ability to document processes, procedures and configurations clearly;
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills;
  • Experience with Azure;
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring with VMware;
  • Familiarity with Windows servers.
