About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Research, analysis and compilation of information on current developments in politics, civil society and Search and Rescue (SAR)
Support in advocacy activities and political communication
Assistance with creating website content and internal information documents
Weekly press monitoring
Translation of articles and informational materials from other national sections into German
Conceptualization and creation of social media content
Support with administrative tasks
General support during special occasions such as events, campaigns or periods of increased workload

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently enrolled in Political Science, Social Sciences, International Relations, Migration Studies, Communications and Media Studies, or a related field with a mandatory internship requirement
Interest in humanitarian issues and migration policy
Strong research and analytical skills, and experience in content writing
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Experience working with social media
Excellent written and spoken German and English
Commitment to the mission and values of SOS MEDITERRANEE in its European dimension
Advantageous: knowledge of search and rescue, maritime and international law, migration issues, the Mediterranean context, and graphic design
