About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Responsible for a variety of software verification and validation (V&V) activities including process development, project planning, developing test procedures, developing software to automate testing, and providing reports
  • Verification of medical device embedded software and evaluating/testing medical device cybersecurity
  • Validation of software related to product testing
  • Develop V&V software test project plans including regression planning and testing of software during the development process
  • Develop V&V software test procedures using current industry standards (e.g. ISO, IEEE, CMMI)
  • Effectively managing test project schedules by communicating project workload, executing activities, and coordinating with the larger project team
  • Generating test guidelines for software team, Quality and Engineering groups for testing during development
  • Training new software design verification engineers and test technicians to Solventum software verification and validation processes

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A STEM Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution, preferable: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity
  • Seven (7) years experience in Cybersecurity, Software Quality Engineering and/or Software Test Methodologies testing in a private, public, government, or military environment
  • Experience with security testing activities like software composition analysis (SCA), SBOM generation and monitoring, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessments
  • Experience with Cybersecurity testing and equipment (Penetration Testing, malformed input testing / fuzz testing, static application security testing (SAST), etc.)
  • Proficiency with MS Office business software – Word, Excel, Project
  • Working knowledge of premarket and postmarket medical device regulations (FDA, EU and others)
