About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serving as the IP attorney for the business operating committee and their leadership team
- Providing counsel, expertise, and strategic advice to business leaders
- Proactively advising and educating business leaders on global IP issues
- Partnering with the business to create and execute data-driven, externally informed IP strategies
- Managing the global IP portfolio and outside counsel
- Managing all offensive and defensive IP disputes globally
- Drafting and negotiating all IP centric agreements globally
- Assessing new product launches for third-party IP rights
- Identifying and communicating global IP risks
- Supporting M&A and investment activity
- Coordinating the implementation of global IP programs
- Managing the IP budget for the business
- Leading multiple projects from ideation to launch
Requirements
What you’ll need- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
- Required licensure to practice law within at least one state
- License to practice before the USPTO
- Twelve (12) years of experience in intellectual property law
- At least five (5) years of experience in a large, multinational company
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a science, engineering, or math discipline from an accredited institution
