About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in the development and localization of computer-assisted coding technology for the Canadian health industry
- Work closely with product development team, clinical specialists, and customer engagement resources to localize Solventum 360 Encompass to the Canadian coding classification (ICD-10-CA/CCI)
- Provide expert support for the development and localization of computer-assisted coding (CAC) for the Canadian market
- Access and use database software to create codes for auto-suggestion
- Validate codes for auto-suggestion using Solventum 360Encompass
- Analyze clinical terms and apply learnings to the development of the software
- Perform concept to code mapping activities
- Create new diagnosis and procedural codes for auto-suggestion
- Edit existing diagnosis and procedural codes for auto-suggestion
- Review and amend code actions based on customer feedback and classification changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- CHIMA- Health Information Management Certification
- Post secondary degree/ diploma in health management
- Minimum of (4) four years of DAD and NACRS coding in a private, public, government or military environment
- High School Diploma/GED from AND (8) eight years of years of DAD and NACRS coding in a private, public, government or military environment
- Experience working with ICD-10-CA & CCI and the Canadian Coding standards within a Canadian Acute Care hospital
- Strong understanding of the processes associated with documentation in the leading electronic medical record systems used in Canada (EPIC, Cerner, Medtech)
- Ability to follow established processes, rules and conventions
- Ability to meet appropriate deadlines for inclusion in relevant product releases
- Strong written communication skills
