About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management.
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
Develop, document, and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
Manage annual audits and coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities in partnership with Finance.
Oversee treasury and cash flow reporting activities.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
Evaluate and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and accounting system enhancements.
Build and develop the accounting team as the organization scales.

Requirements

What you’ll need

10+ years of progressive accounting experience
Minimum 5 years in an accounting leadership role
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA designation strongly preferred
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting requirements
Experience managing audits and external accounting relationships
Demonstrated success building and improving accounting processes and controls
Strong ERP and financial systems experience
