About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement the Medical Affairs operating model, governance structure, and annual planning processes.
Develop scalable processes, SOPs, and best practices to support organizational growth.
Drive operational excellence across all Medical Affairs activities.
Develop departmental dashboards, KPIs, and performance metrics.
Establish mechanisms to measure Medical Affairs impact and effectiveness.
Lead Medical Affairs annual planning, goal setting, and business reviews.
Translate medical insights and operational metrics into strategic recommendations.
Manage Medical Affairs budgets, forecasting, and resource allocation.
Oversee grant, sponsorship, congress, publication, and vendor budgets.
Lead implementation and optimization of Medical Affairs technologies and platforms.
Establish performance metrics and oversight processes for external partners.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
8–12+ years of experience in Medical Affairs Operations, Commercial Operations, Clinical Operations, or related functions.
Demonstrated experience building operational infrastructure in a growing biotechnology or pharmaceutical organization.
Strong analytics, project management, budgeting, and leadership skills.
Experience supporting global Medical Affairs organizations preferred.
