About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Engage with customers through Amazon's chat platform, providing prompt and accurate responses to inquiries about orders, products, services, and account information
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve customer issues, ensuring a positive and seamless experience
  • Handle multiple chat conversations simultaneously while maintaining a high level of service and accuracy
  • Utilize internal resources, FAQs, and knowledge bases to provide accurate information and solutions
  • Identify complex or sensitive issues and escalate them to the appropriate team or supervisor when necessary
  • Accurately record customer interactions and follow-up actions in the CRM system
  • Meet or exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) such as response time, customer satisfaction, and resolution efficiency
  • Provide feedback to improve chat processes and contribute to enhancing the overall customer experience

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent; an Associates or Bachelors degree is a plus
  • Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a chat or remote setting
  • Experience with e-commerce or tech support is a plus
  • Proficient with computers, web-based tools, and chat software
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is advantageous
  • Strong typing skills with a minimum speed of [X] words per minute
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally
  • A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience and empathy
  • Ability to think critically and resolve customer issues quickly and effectively
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Capable of working independently in a remote setting, managing time effectively, and meeting deadlines
