About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the independent quality authority across all externally developed applications and systems
  • Validate all vendor-delivered features before release: functional, regression, and integration testing
  • Ensure solutions meet business requirements — not just technical specs
  • Identify gaps vendors may overlook or under-test
  • Define and implement a QA strategy across all systems
  • Establish test plans, acceptance criteria frameworks, and release readiness checklists
  • Introduce automation where appropriate (without overengineering)
  • Review and challenge vendor-provided test cases, QA processes, and defect resolution approaches
  • Ensure vendors are not testing their own homework
  • Escalate quality risks early and clearly
  • Own testing across system boundaries: ERP, eCommerce, CRM, and data platforms
  • Validate real-world workflows: order-to-cash, customer journeys, data flows
  • Identify failures that only show up in end-to-end scenarios
  • Ensure data accuracy, proper transformations and mappings across systems
  • Validate reporting outputs and dashboards against source systems
  • Act as a gatekeeper for production releases with defined go/no-go criteria
  • Participate in sprint reviews and release planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–10+ years in QA / software testing roles
  • +90% English written and oral (at least B2 level)
  • Experience working in vendor-led or outsourced development environments
  • Strong knowledge of manual and automated testing approaches
  • API testing experience (e.g., Postman or similar tools)
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr, or equivalent)
  • Experience testing across integrated systems: ERP (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite) and CRM systems
  • Independent thinker — not influenced by vendor narratives
  • Detail-obsessed — finds what others miss
  • Business-aware — tests based on real-world usage, not just specs
  • Assertive communicator — willing to block releases if needed
  • Systems-oriented — understands how failures cascade across platforms
