About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform configuration and commissioning of network infrastructure and connected devices during project execution.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot Cisco switches and firewalls during commissioning activities.
Verify network connectivity, routing, VLANs, redundancy mechanisms, and overall system integration.
Provide remote support for offshore installations once connectivity has been established.
Implement, modify, and maintain firewall policies and network configurations in accordance with operational requirements.
Support a high volume of network changes during the transition to offshore operations, including frequent updates to firewall rules, routing, and network segmentation.
Troubleshoot network-related issues and support incident resolution in collaboration with project and operations teams.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including switch configuration, VLANs, routing, and troubleshooting.
Cisco certification (CCNA or higher) or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience with FortiGate firewalls and FortiOS administration.
Experience managing firewall policies, NAT, access control rules, and network security configurations.
Ability to work independently during commissioning and site activities.
Experience supporting critical infrastructure, industrial, energy, or offshore environments is highly desirable.
Nice to have:
Knowledge of industrial networking concepts and network segmentation.
Familiarity with remote troubleshooting and support of operational environments.
Experience working in commissioning projects and brownfield environments where network changes must be carefully controlled.
