About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provides technical support to users via email, phone and Help-Desk portal
- Manages the workstations and the necessary hardware peripherals
- Monitors hardware functionality and takes action where necessary
- Manages software installation and set up on computers according to the specifications given
- Trains end users on how to use new software and IT equipment
- Organises and schedules updates and maintenance with users
- Maintains repair and correction records
- Identifies deficiencies in network peripherals and equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3 years of experience as a system administrator
- English language skills, written and spoken (must be used daily)
- Good communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Understanding business processes, be systematic and structured in your daily work
- Advanced knowledge of network architectures, topologies and protocols (routing and switching)
- Experience in managing virtualised server environments based on VMWare products
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud Services and Office 365
- driver license class B
