About the role
- You take ownership of monthly reporting and thoroughly analyze our key KPIs (e.g., ROAS, contribution margins, logistics costs).
- You actively support the preparation of budget planning — including for our multiple annual sales events — and the rolling forecasts by aggregating and validating data from the operational teams.
- You identify deviations between plan and actuals, investigate root causes, and provide actionable recommendations for corrective measures.
- You continuously improve our controlling tools and dashboards (e.g., Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools) to increase data quality and delivery speed.
- You advise our internal departments (e.g., Sales, Purchasing & Logistics) on business and financial matters and ensure smooth collaboration.
Requirements
- You have a degree in business administration with a focus on controlling or an equivalent qualification.
- You have up to 5 years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in e‑commerce, retail or a fast‑paced start‑up environment.
- You can grasp complex issues, identify interrelationships and interpret data precisely.
- You have strong knowledge of accounting, profit & loss statements, cash flow statements, KPI analysis and company valuation.
- You work effectively in a team, collaborate well and can resolve conflicts.
- You have excellent skills in MS Office/Google Sheets, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Initial experience with SQL or business intelligence tools is a plus.
Benefits
- From company bike leasing (JobRad) to subsidies for the Deutschlandticket, tax‑free benefits in kind and company pension contributions — you’ll benefit from many extras.
- Employee discount at our Snocks Coffee.
- You won’t start empty‑handed: you’ll receive top hardware and everything you need to work, and you can choose cool products from our partners & friends in the Welcome Shop.
- We support you with training opportunities and individual development budgets.
- Whether a “Social Day” to volunteer or “Power Days” for when your period hits hard — these days are additional to your vacation.
- It never gets boring here: table tennis, FIFA or Mario Kart after work, communal cooking and lunches, fresh fruit, coffee from our espresso machine, or the muesli bar.
- Your pet is, of course, welcome in the office!
