About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

builds market position for SMU by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business, organizational and university relationships that lead to increased new student inquiries and interest in SMU degree and certificate programs
responsible for building a stronger image and brand, growing program revenue streams and contributing to SMU’s overall success
work closely with Admissions, Marketing, Alumni Relations, Faculty and the Dean’s Office to ensure strategic coordination of all efforts
develops and maintains strategic, long-term partnerships with corporations, educational institutions, and community organizations
creates, executes and maintains a business development portfolio and continuously develop interest and inquiries for degree and certificate programs
maintains accurate documentation of all activities, contacts and accounts in CRM (Salesforce)

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in business, communications, education, marketing, English, journalism, or related fields required
Five (5) years in educational outreach/admission, sales, marketing, business development or related field.
Background with understanding B2B relationship development.
Great writing background with the ability to create a compelling narrative.
valid Driver’s License and automobile insurance.
