Budget Engineering Intern
SMS group BrasilIntern supporting the budget engineering team at SMS Services in Brazil. Involving supplier contact, technical document analysis, and cost proposal preparation.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist the SMS Services Budget team, the area responsible for preparing cost estimates for the supply of new equipment and refurbishments, in the following activities:
- Liaising with suppliers;
- Sending product and service quotations to suppliers and partners;
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings;
- Preparing material lists (bill of materials) according to drawings;
- Preparing cost breakdown spreadsheets;
- Preparing technical proposals and inspection/appraisal reports;
- Conducting equipment inspections.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Currently enrolled in an Engineering program (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials, Production, Mechatronics, or related fields) from the 4th semester onward;
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
- Technical course / vocational training;
- Previous experience in areas related to the mechanical industry;
- Intermediate to advanced English.
