About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

You take responsibility for everything related to numbers, finance, and investors.
You work directly with the two managing directors and act as the central interface to investors, the advisory board, and external partners.
You monitor liquidity, burn rate, and runway — and warn early if anything gets out of hand.
You prepare the monthly reporting materials for our investors, including financial metrics, forecast updates, and commentary on key developments.
You prepare the quarterly advisory board meetings — numbers, presentations, and proposals for decisions.
You are the strategic and operational driver of our next financing round of €4–6M.
You build the financial model, prepare pitch materials and an investor list, coordinate due-diligence processes, and keep all workstreams on track.
You run profitability/business-case calculations for pilot projects, partnerships, and strategic decisions — clean, fast, and decision-oriented.
You manage our external accounting, ensuring annual financial statements, taxes, and statutory reporting obligations are handled smoothly.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Completed degree (Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or similar)
Initial professional experience in finance, e.g., in controlling, corporate finance, auditing, investment banking, consulting, or as a finance employee in a startup
Excellent Excel skills, ideally with some experience in financial modeling
Very good German and good English (our investors and partners are international)
Structured, independent working style — you don’t wait for tasks, you identify them
Ambition, autonomy, and the desire to help shape something of your own — not to manage, but to create
Experience in startup financing or the willingness to quickly immerse yourself in this world
