About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Leading and delivering geotechnical investigations, analyses and engineering assessments for mining, civil infrastructure and industrial projects
Supervising and undertaking geotechnical site investigations
Assessment and interpretation of field investigations and laboratory testing data
Basic geotechnical analyses (foundation design and settlement analysis, slope stability analysis, retaining structure assessment, earthworks design)
Preparation of factual and interpretive geotechnical reports; and geotechnical design reports
Provide technical support during project planning, design and construction phases
Taking an active lead in the development and mentoring of junior staff, specific to technical geotechnical aspects
Assist with proposal preparation, business development and client relationship management.

Requirements

What you’ll need

BEng / BSc Eng
A Senior Geotechnical Engineer with 5-10 years of consulting experience
Experience in planning, supervising and undertaking geotechnical site investigations
Understanding of soil mechanics and geotechnical data analyses experience
Proficient in Word, Excel and industry software such as Geo-Slope/Rocscience
Valid driver's license
Professionally registered with ECSA (PrEng) would be an advantage.
