About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Associate Content Director (ACD) is a strategic leader responsible for transforming high-level business objectives into impactful, authority-focused, and narrative-driven digital content ecosystems.
Beyond editorial oversight, the ACD acts as a strategic architect, ensuring all initiatives target sophisticated audiences and drive measurable financial and operational results.
You will partner closely with the Account Lead and Account Director to nurture client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for content strategy and Category Authority needs.
Reporting to the VP of Content, you will master and evolve Skyword’s Category Authority framework.

Requirements

What you’ll need

7+ years of content marketing experience.
4+ years in a content management role within an agency or enterprise environment.
Proven success managing complex content programs for large enterprise brands.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Preferred experience in regulated sectors such as Financial Services, Healthcare, or Cybersecurity.
Expert knowledge of SEO/AEO foundations and brand visibility best practices.
Proficiency in understanding and translating critical content metrics.
Mastery in translating technical and creative concepts for executive audiences.
Ability to manage budgets and drive client financial goals.
Ability to learn and use Skyword’s platform.
Expert use of AI tools.
