About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop system requirements based on inputs from internal Product, Marketing, and Business Development teams, as well as external customers and regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain SysML models (Use Case, Activity, Sequence, State machine, etc.) using MBSE methodologies and tools such as Cameo.
- Advance and support system development activities including the current design phase from requirements validation, implementation, verification, and certification.
- Lead or support compliance with ARP4754B development practices and produce necessary artifacts.
- Guide and support system design compliance with certification, cyber security, quality, and safety standards.
- Support formal technical program gates, including SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, and qualification reviews.
- Ensure compliance with customer, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate activities with other team members and supervise/review the work of junior staff.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related STEM degree from an accredited university or college.
- 7+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry.
- 5+ years of experience working in a Systems Engineer position.
- Experience applying MBSE principles using SysML and one or more MBSE tools (Cameo Systems Modeler/MagicDraw).
- Familiarity with all phases of the Systems Engineering design process, including concept of operations, requirements development, system / software architecture definition, system integration, requirements validation, and requirements verification.
- Experience with ARP4754B and ability to support System Safety reviews per ARP4761A.
