Contribute to the design of novel user interfaces for SkyGrid’s operator-facing services.
Assess, track, and document the Human Readiness Level (HRL) of in-development SkyGrid products.
Collaborate with other Human Factors and User Experience specialists to translate customer needs into actionable work items that drive user-interface development.
Coordinate human-in-the-loop test plans for SkyGrid’s ground-based automation systems supporting the airspace integration of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM).
Identify and document design philosophy for novel user interfaces based on human factors principles.
Collaborate with other Human Factors and User Experience engineers at SkyGrid to design innovative user interfaces for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) traffic management systems.
Create low-fidelity wireframes to explore and validate workflows, information hierarchy, and interaction patterns early in the design process.
Create high-fidelity UI designs that accurately represent the final visual design for implementation in software.
Coordinate human-in-the-loop tests for ground-based automation systems supporting the airspace integration of AAM.
Monitor and analyze trends in the design of user interfaces for AAM traffic management tools.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Factors, UI/UX Design, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience in aerospace/flight operations.
Experience designing user interfaces for aviation applications.
Working knowledge of FAA and MIL-STD human factors design standards.
Proficiency with industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma).
Familiarity with UX design systems.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
