Assists artists when issues arise in the day-to-day processes of the department – eg. Creating work scenes, publishing work, preparing renders for dailies, etc.
Tests libraries such as Houdini's HDAs and prototypes.
Updates basic documentation. Reviews and updates the technical documentation related to the workflows and tools of the department that they support.
Attends technical meetings as requested, to keep trained and updated in the new studio/department tools, pipelines, workflows, etc.
Keeps up on current artistic methodologies and on technological trends and tools that best suit the production and the company in the development of a stronger creative and technical environment.
Assists other team members, when necessary.
Follows the department supervisor and lead´s instruction.
Requirements
Strong artistic or/and technical aptitude related to 3D animation is a must.
Basic knowledge of some 3D animation area (Modeling, Surfacing, Animation, Lighting).
Basic knowledge in 3D animation with Houdini- or willing to learn.
Medium English level desirable.
Spanish desirable.
Must be available for at least 3 months onsite (from Monday until Friday, 35h/week).
Must be currently enrolled in your last year in an Associate, Bachelor, or Master’s program at an accredited institution.
Self-starter with proficient writing and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
Highly motivated and interested in Animation and Technology.
