About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • serve as a financial planning and estate planning subject matter authority for Fidelity’s high net worth clients and their advisors
  • lead a comprehensive financial and estate planning engagement leveraging various financial planning tools such as eMoney
  • support advanced planning client engagements throughout a geographic region
  • collaborate within the Advanced Planning team both virtually and in-person to maintain and increase our collective impact on the clients we serve
  • travel is typically expected between 5% and 20% of the time, depending on physical proximity to regional sites and investor centers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree with any of the following designations preferred: CPA, JD, M.T., LLM in taxation, CFA or CFP®
  • 13-15+ years overall work experience with 7+ years of trusts and estate planning, income tax planning or succession planning work experience within a public accounting, law practice, or wealth management industry environment
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 obtained within 90-days of employment
  • Retirement, financial, investment, and insurance planning (required)
  • Estate Planning, family wealth transfer planning, wills/trusts, income taxation, and trust and estate taxation knowledge (required)
  • Ability to create and review financial plans using tools such as eMoney
  • Experienced in working with business owners, start-ups/Pre IPO companies a plus
  • Works independently and able to lead an assigned territory to drive High Net Worth client engagements
  • Effectively coaches, develops, and applies junior team members
  • Thrives in a team environment to provide an exceptional client planning experience
  • Communicates complex subjects clearly and effectively
  • Emotional intelligence to successfully bond with and communicate with clients and their advisors
  • Possesses a solution-oriented, client-first work ethic
  • Works independently, balances tasks, and prioritizes work to maintain efficiency
  • Maintains a positive, professional demeanor, with a thoughtful approach to delivering successful customer outcomes
