About the role

Shape the technical foundation of a secure, scalable, multi-tenant Fidelity Health Benefits (FHB) platform.
Lead platform design and delivery with a focus on scalability, security, and extensibility across multiple development teams.
Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, prototyping, and decision-making.
Establish technical governance for coding standards, security, and quality; ensure secure development and compliance with enterprise standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally to align platform strategy and execution and deliver cohesive, scalable, resilient platform capabilities.
Drive cloud-native and AI-enabled development practices and promote developer productivity tools like GitHub Copilot and Gemini.
Champion DevOps, CI/CD, shift-left testing, infrastructure as code, and observability for efficient delivery.
Foster engineering innovation by evaluating and adopting modern practices and mentoring senior engineers to cultivate technical excellence.

Requirements

15+ years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering large-scale, distributed enterprise applications.
Deep hands-on expertise in Java and open-source frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, and Kafka.
Strong understanding of multi-tenant SaaS architecture, including tenant isolation, configuration, and scalability.
Proficiency in cloud-native development (preferably Azure), with experience in containerization and orchestration.
Solid grasp of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and observability.
Proven ability to lead component-level and system-level design, microservices, API-first, and event-driven architectures.
Strong knowledge of data architecture, including relational and NoSQL databases and data streaming.
Deep understanding of secure development practices, compliance, and governance.
Strong coding skills, clean code, design patterns, testability, and active involvement in code reviews and refactoring.
Advocate for shift-left testing and test automation; experience with static code analysis (e.g., SonarQube) and test frameworks (e.g., JUnit).
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and developer assist tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini).
Experience leading multi-functional development teams, mentoring senior engineers, and driving technical roadmaps.
Preferred: Background in healthcare benefits technology or other regulated industries.
Location: Bengaluru or Chennai; shift timings: 11:00 am - 8:00 pm.
