About the role
- Participate in implementation of new regulatory reporting requirements and improve processes by streamlining and introducing automation
- Leverage analytical skills, knowledge of accounting and financial reporting to ensure accurate, time-sensitive reporting and filings required for shareholders and regulators
- Partner with technical, oversight, business partners, operation leaders and operational associates to ensure scalable and effective reporting
- Coach and mentor staff to achieve high-quality results and adhere to process controls to proactively mitigate risk
- Manage a backlog and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Develop reporting solutions for new investment products, including alternative investments and Digital Assets, and incorporate new/changing regulations
- Support implementation of a new technology platform transforming reporting processes
- Produce and distribute financial statements, prospectuses, fund and legal documents and file with the SEC (team responsibility)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of financial services experience with a mutual fund operation, custodian bank or asset manager with a focus on legal and financial regulatory reporting
- Digital Assets / Alternative products experience preferred
- Strong understanding of SEC regulatory reporting requirements, including Form N-PORT, Form N-MFP, and Form N-CEN (preferred)
- Solid understanding of risk frameworks and ability to design and lead processes ensuring a strong control environment
- Ability to identify and drive process improvements and automation
- Ability to work with all levels of management and influence high impact decisions
- Ability to work concurrently on a variety of opposing priorities in a changing regulatory and technology environment
- Strong understanding of workflows and requirements of internal and external business partners and systems applications
- Experience defining and understanding environmental impacts of initiatives to anticipate and coordinate operational readiness
- Excellent written and verbal communication and strong presentation capability
