About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

provide legal support and strategic advice across Fidelity’s brokerage, wealth management, and cryptocurrency businesses
directly support introducing broker-dealer businesses with both ongoing operations and development of new product and services
act as subject-matter expert on legal and regulatory issues relating to distribution of digital investment advice and other interactive digital experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 7 years of relevant law firm or in-house counsel experience with a financial services company that includes broker-dealer matters, or experience with an industry regulator
License in good standing with at least one state bar
Substantial experience advising FINRA member broker-dealers
Experience in the areas of account opening, trading platforms, application of artificial intelligence technology, augmented reality, and advanced analytics and planning experiences is appreciated
Ability to work independently under pressure in a dynamic environment that will require you to manage multiple, competing tasks simultaneously
Strategic and critical thinking skills, excellent judgment, and decision-making skills
Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, in particular the ability to reduce sophisticated legal issues to straightforward, practical analysis, and advice
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and credibility, internally and externally
Ability to manage outside counsel to provide excellent legal services in a cost-effective manner
