About the role
- Responsible for assessing how new investments and changing requirements affect the regulatory reports and filings produced by the Shareholder Reporting Team.
- Evaluate complex instruments (e.g., derivatives, short securities, alternative and digital assets), emerging regulatory changes, and complex and innovative products.
- Assemble critical information and coordinate analyses for production team leads to interpret impacts.
- Create requirement summaries to inform the Shareholder Reporting staff and to highlight impacted products and deliverables.
- Facilitate meetings and collaborate with internal team leaders to capture operational demands of new requirements.
- Summarize and communicate impacts of new requirements to Senior Management and key business partners.
- Coordinate and maintain documentation for ongoing reference and support implementation of new processes.
- Coordinate and deliver training to improve understanding of new and changing requirements among staff.
- Demonstrate initiative in growing knowledge to support readiness for new changes impacting the business.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of experience preferred including financial services experience with an asset manager, audit firm or custodian bank, preferably in administration for investment funds.
- CPA preferred
- Familiarity with regulatory reports and filings for investment companies including their operational support processes.
- Investment product knowledge including investment structures and their regulatory and compliance frameworks.
- Research skills including the ability to capture information about a topic, review that information and analyze and interpret the details in a way to support a solution.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with an ability to manage multiple, concurrent high priority assignments and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Proficiency in various PC software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Power BI preferred.
