About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage core networking components (DNS, firewalls, routing, load balancing) and set up HTTPS for on-prem systems using the internal Certificate Authority
  • Establish and configure an internal Ubuntu repository
  • Migrate container images to the new Quay registry
  • Support deployments on Kubernetes (OpenShift)
  • Coordinate system patching and vulnerability remediation based on Rapid7 scan reports
  • Support and maintain applications built with Python, Flask and React
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and resolve issues in Airflow data pipelines
  • Maintain dashboards used for visualisation and reporting
  • Provide database support, including troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Process password reset requests and respond to server outages and other incidents
  • Write and maintain Bash/Python scripts to automate recurring tasks such as patching and password resets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience administering Linux systems (Ubuntu preferred)
  • Familiarity with certificate management and setting up HTTPS/TLS in internal environments
  • Working knowledge of container registries (e.g. Quay) and image management
  • Experience with Python, Flask and React, ideally in a data visualisation context
  • Hands-on experience with Airflow for data pipeline development and troubleshooting
  • Experience deploying and managing workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift
  • Familiarity with Superset or similar BI/visualisation tools
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g. Rapid7) and patch management processes
  • Exposure to database administration
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to incident response
